Clinical Assistant Professor of Nursing
Dr. Woods earned her degrees at the Baccalaureate, Masters of Nursing in Case Management and Doctorate of Education with focus in Instructional Leadership at the University of Alabama. Her clinical background includes working at labor and delivery, postpartum, well baby nursery and neonatal intensive care nursing (level III) units, cardiac intensive care unit and occupational health/health promotion nursing.
She began her career in nursing education at Bevill State Community College as a clinical instructor in 2011. She also taught at the University of Alabama as an Assistant Professor. She is a certified nurse educator.
Her research interests are active learning strategies, simulation, and curricular evaluations/improvement. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, Nursing Christian Fellowship, National League of Nursing, and American Association of Critical Care Nurses.
