Clinical Instructor of Nursing
Elizabeth Scheffer is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and a Clinical Instructor of Nursing at Berry College. She graduated from the University of Florida with her BSN and from Duke University with her MSN. Elizabeth has worked in the field of pediatrics for more than 20 years, with a variety of experience in NICU, primary care, and urgent care.
Elizabeth primarily teaches in the professional nursing practice courses of foundations and families, as well as skills lab and simulation-based learning. Her goal is to instill confidence in her students as they become proficient nurses.
Her clinical interests include pediatric primary care, urgent care, childhood obesity, and pediatric developmental, behavioral, and mental health. She is passionate about providing high quality pediatric care and continues her practice working with pediatric patients and their families.
Elizabeth is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International, the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP) and the United Advanced Practice Registered Nurses of Georgia (UAPRN). She is also an active member of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta's (CHOA) Diabetes Patient Family Advisory Council.
