Senior Lecturer of Communication and Student Publications Advisor
Kevin Kleine is a senior lecturer of communication and student publications advisor.
During his years in higher education Kleine has been teaching students to communicate clearly, effectively and with purpose. He came to Berry in 1989. Before coming here, Kleine also taught at Briar Cliff College, Wayne State College and Illinois State University. His photographs have been published in books, magazines and newspapers.
Throughout his time at Berry, student publications have won hundreds of awards from national, regional, and state organizations, such as the Society of Professional Journalists Mark of Excellence Awards, the CMA Pinnacle Awards and Georgia College Press Association Better Newspaper Contest.
Kleine was a recipient of the Distinguished 4-Year Multimedia Advisor Award from the College Media Association, the nation’s largest organization dedicated to serving the needs of collegiate student media programs and their advisors.
Study Abroad has been a passion for Kleine during the last decade, during which time he helped lead five different study abroad experiences to Florence, Italy; Madrid, Spain; and Vienna, Austria. These study trips created opportunities for students to create multimedia journalism abroad, publish to the world and, often, win national awards.
