Dr. Conn was appointed as Doctoral Thesis Examiner for the Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as well as Section Editor for the international journal, Parasitology Research, working with the publishing office in Heidelburg, Germany and the editorial office in Vienna Austria. He was appointed as a member of the editorial board of the international journal, Helminthologia, working with the editorial and publishing offices in Kosice, Slovakia and elected Vice President of the InvasivesNet, a global interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral network of scientists and other professionals headquartered in Ireland and Finland, working to address the worldwide multidimensional problems associated with exotic invasive species. Dr. Conn served as an expert reviewer for AgreenSkills+ coordinated by the National Institute for Agricultural Research in France, in cooperation with the European Union and served as a member of the Scientific Committee for the Fourth International Congress on Invertebrate Morphology, convened in Moscow, Russia, 17-24 August 2017. He also presented an invited lecture and organized and co-chaired a symposium on parasitic organisms.
He co-authored “Examination of oral microbiota diversity in adults and older adults as an approach to prevent spread of risk factors for human infections” in BioMed Research International.
Dr. Conn also lectured for the Rome Rotary Club at their July 20, 2017, meeting, presenting information about the new Berry College Large Museum and other public educational outreach programs in the sciences being offered at Berry.
