Director of Counseling Becca Smith was elected as the 2021-2022 President-elect for the American College Counseling Association and she will serve as the 2022-2023 President. The Association strives to support and enhance the practice of college counseling, to promote ethical and responsible professional practice, to promote communication and exchange among college counselors across service areas and institutional settings, to encourage cooperation with other organizations related to higher education and college student development, and to provide leadership and advocacy for the profession of counseling in higher education.
Becca Smith also led a recent workshop for the Licensed Professional Counselor Association of GA that focused on how to broach sexuality, sexual orientation, and gender identity with clients.
