Berry Mathematical and Natural Sciences Dean and Bioanalytical Chemistry Professor Alice Suroviec has been assigned as one of the lead editors of Physics World’s issue on women in electrochemistry. Furthermore, Suroviec was the guest editor for the Electrochemical Society quarterly magazine with a concentration on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Suroviec teaches analytical chemistry, food chemistry, and general chemistry. Her research focuses on enzymatically modified electrodes used as biosensors and the application of self-assembled monolayers on gold nanoparticles.
Her career at Berry has spanned nine years and she has served as a full-time contributing editor for the Electrochemical Society Interface for the last six years.
