Berry Professor of Art History Virginia Gardner Troy has published her third book, "Dynamic Design". The book describes the history of Jay Hambidge and Mary Crovatt Hambidge, and their significance to 20th-century art and history.
Troy details cross-cultural and cross-historical art and how the history is important to understand for society today. The parallel goals that the Hambidges have together are shared by the ability to combine art and the principles of dynamic symmetry.
Troy has previously published two books, "The Modernist Textile: Europe and America, 1890-1940" and "Anni Albers and Ancient American Textiles: From Bauhaus to Black Mountain".
