Berry College has granted accomplished faculty members promotions and tenure.
• Joseph Daniel has been promoted to professor of animal science. His research interests are endocrine-immune interactions, endocrine metabolic regulators and animal health-production interactions.
• Kyle Caires was promoted to associate professor of animal science. His research interests include endocrine mechanisms regulation of fertility, factors regulating stem cell function and sustainable livestock production.
• Jill Cochran was promoted to associate professor of mathematics and computer science. Cochran’s research interests are nuclear detection data analysis, unit distance graphs and analysis of teacher social networks.
• Dominic Qualley was promoted to associate professor of chemistry. His research interests are nucleic acid binding proteins in retroviruses, RNA chemistry and structure and Aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases.
• Lauren Heller was promoted to associate professor of economics. Heller’s research interests are international health economics, economic development and program evaluation and applied microeconometrics.
• Julia Barnes was promoted to associate professor of Spanish. Barnes’ research interest is on contemporary Spain with particular emphasis on women novelists.
• Associate Professor of Anthropology and Environmental Studies Brian Campbell was granted tenure. Some of his research interests include agricultural biodiversity conservation, agroecology and food sovereignty.
