The Berry College nursing program has been granted full approval by the Georgia Board of Nursing through 2020.
In May, 28 students received Bachelor of Science in Nursing degrees. By Aug. 1, 100 percent of the graduates had passed the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) for registered nurses. The class average first-time pass rate is 93 percent.
“The students and faculty have worked together to ensure the Berry College nursing students are prepared to provide safe quality care. The NCLEX scores and comments from our clinical partners validate that success,” said Berry College Division of Nursing Dean Vanice Roberts.
Currently, 13 of the new graduates are employed at metro Atlanta hospitals,10 are working in the health care systems of Floyd County, three are in Tennessee, one in South Carolina and one in Alabama. All of the students have employment as registered nurses.
