The Berry College Memorial Library is hosting an exhibit entitled ‘Olympic Youth Camp: A Cultural Exchange’ in the archives through December.
The exhibit invites people to learn more about Berry’s Olympic moment and begins with a display outside the archives on the second floor and concludes in the reading room inside the archives. The exhibit focuses on the Olympic Youth Camp that was hosted at Berry in coordination with the 1996 Summer Olympic games in Atlanta. The 458 campers representing more than 150 nations who were selected to participate in the camp became a part of a unique culture exchange festival that changed both Berry and the campers through sharing experiences and cultural norms.
The Berry College Memorial library archives are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
