Berry College’s recent nursing graduates have achieved exceptional test scores and employment across the Southeast U.S.
As of this publication date, 25 students out of 26 have passed the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX), making the first-time pass rate 92 percent, which is anticipated to rise to 100 percent after the final test score is in.
And all graduates of the class of 2017 have found nursing positions ranging from bariatric surgery at Emory Healthcare, to surgical and nursing residencies at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Other notable departments include NICU, organ transplant, oncology and ER. One graduate was accepted to Georgetown University to pursue a Nurse Practitioner degree.
“Our 2017 nursing graduates worked diligently to prepare for their journey into nursing. To pass the national licensing exam means they can be registered as a nurse in the state of their choice,” said Director and Assistant Professor of Nursing Pam Dunagan. “One hundred percent of our nursing students have taken positions in challenging hospital units. It’s a great day to be a Berry nurse!”
