Amy Sherman will speak on God’s purpose, calling and vocation for our lives at 7 p.m. March 26 in the Berry College McAllister auditorium.
Sherman directs the Center on Faith in Communities as a senior fellow at the Sagamore Institute for Policy Research. In 2012, Christianity Today named her one of the 50 most influential Evangelical women in America. She has authored six books and over 80 articles including “First Things,” “The Public Interest,” “Policy Review,” “The Christian Century, Christianity Today” and “Books & Culture.”
Her most recent book, “Kingdom Calling: Vocational Stewardship for the Common Good,” was named the Christianity Today Book Award winner in 2013. In addition, Sherman is the founder and former executive director of Abundant Life Ministries, an evangelical nonprofit assisting low-income, inner-city families in Charlottesville, Va.
