ROME, Ga. – Don’t miss this special showing of an award-winning film that was written, directed and produced by a Berry College professor.
After great success at last year’s Rome International Film Festival, Associate Professor of Anthropology and Environmental Studies Brian Campbell will showcase his film, “To Kingdom Come,” once again on Monday (Oct. 21) at 7 p.m. at the Rome City Auditorium.
“To Kingdom Come” presents the battle between Rome’s river keepers and General Electric (GE) over PCBs, which are a group of man-made organic chemicals consisting of carbon, hydrogen and chlorine atoms. The film also explores the underlying cultural encounter between the north and south Rome communities through candid interviewing and historical media.
This event is free and open to the public, but donations are encouraged. It is a fundraiser for the Coosa River Basin Initiative (CRBI) and the Rome International Film Festival (RIFF).
