Berry College’s Lumen Lecture Series recently welcomed an author to speak about addiction and how to break the power of harmful vices.
Biola University Associate Professor of Philosophy Kent Dunnington discussed faith and addiction March 21. While Dunnington teaches a variety of subjects from logic to the philosophy of addiction, his main area of expertise is virtue and theological ethics. This is true as well for his scholarly writings as they have focused on virtues and addiction.
Dunnington holds a Master of Arts degree from Texas A&M University and a Master of Theological Studies degree from the Duke Divinity School. He returned to Texas A&M University for his Ph.D. in philosophy. His passions are articulated in his first book, Addiction and Virtue” and his second, “Humility, Pride, and Christian Virtue Theory.”
