Berry College senior Rosalie Kahaly will be showcasing her senior capstone project “Together Again” from May 1 to May 5 in the Moon Gallery. The exhibition will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
The “Together Again” exhibit consists of four life-sized ceramic busts depicting the expressions of how a family can mourn while remaining in the presence of each other. Each bust represents a member of Kahaly’s maternal family and depicts the grief she witnessed each family member experience from the loss.
The pieces serve to both immortalize and honor the people who have mattered the most in Kahaly’s life and bring closure to her family members.
Kahaly is double majoring in studio art and filmmaking and cinematic arts. She has participated in four art shows at Moon Gallery, placing second in the 2022 Annual Student Honors Show. Kahaly has also worked with independent film projects in the Rome community and with Chickndog Studios based in New York.
