Sigma Delta Pi, a Hispanic Honors Society, recently inducted seven new Berry College students and honored a graduating senior.
Sigma Delta Pi is the largest collegiate foreign language honor society in the U.S. and recognizes those who excel in the study of the Spanish language.
The inductees are:
- Emily Baluta: Dawsonville, psychology major with a double minor in religion and Spanish
- Candace Brown: Chattanooga, Tenn., undecided major
- Janelly Chevere: Lawrenceville, psychology and Spanish major
- Chloe Hildreth: Acworth, animal science major with a double minor in chemistry and Spanish
- Juan Martin Castro: accounting major with Spanish minor
- José Reyes: Rome, communication and Spanish major
- Anna Rinaggio: Lexington, N.C., English and Spanish major with a dance minor
Gabriel Smith, an economic and Spanish major from Carrollton, was recognized as a graduating senior.
