Upcoming Concerts at Berry College

Georgia Brass Band to perform concert with special guests 

The Georgia Brass Band will perform Feb. 20 at 7:30 at the Ford Auditorium. 

The Rome Festival Brass will open the concert. 

The Georgia Brass Band is a leading ensemble in the U.S., promoting a modern American concept of the historic British brass band tradition. The band’s diverse repertoire ranges from Renaissance and Baroque to 21st Century. Its library is full of marches, sacred arrangements, popular music, jazz tunes, movie themes, and classical transcriptions. The band has appeared on local television and performed at concert halls, festivals and colleges throughout the U.S. 

The event is free and open to the public.

                                                                              

 Berry’s Annual Winter Concert

Berry College’s Wind and Jazz Ensembles is hosting a concert Feb. 23 at 7:30 p.m. in the Ford Auditorium. 

The wind ensemble consists of about 70 students and has performed a variety of literature from older cornerstones to contemporary favorites. Meanwhile, the jazz ensemble features outstanding vocalists and are known for their tight and energizing performances. They were a featured performing group at last year’s Georgia Music Educators Concert. The concert will be directed by John David and conducted by Lauren Denney Wright, two of Berry’s visiting music instructors.

The event is free and open to the public.

                                                                      

 Berry College Jazz Ensemble to Perform at Clayton State University

MORROW, Ga. – The Berry College Jazz Ensemble will perform at Spivey Hall, Clayton State University on Feb. 18 as part of the Young People’s Concerts.

Directed by Berry Visiting Lecturer John David, the ensemble is renowned for its tight and energizing performances and music ranging from exciting contemporary jazz works to swinging classics.

Spivey Hall welcomes groups and individuals of all ages to this performance. Young People’s Concert tickets are $2 per person in advance through the Box Office, $3 in advance online, and $5 at the door.
