Berry Ensembles’ outdoor concert
Join the Berry College Wind Ensemble, Berry Jazz Ensemble and Viking Drumline for an afternoon of music at 3 p.m. Saturday (April 8) on the Ford grounds at Berry College. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair and enjoy the campus while listening to an array of music presented by Berry student musicians. The event is free and open to the public.

Religion Professor to speak about the “Muslim Ban”
The Berry College Interfaith Council is sponsoring a talk “What’s behind the ‘Muslim ban’? On the history of Muslim migration to the United States and the social construction of a threat” Monday (April 10.) Florian Pohl, Associate Professor of Religion at Oxford College of Emory University, will speak on the topic at 5 p.m. in Evans Auditorium. The lecture is free and open to the public.

Students present work at annual honors show
Berry College student artists will present their work during the annual honors show from April 17-21 in the Moon Gallery.
The show includes work from Berry College art program studio courses made by both art majors and non-majors alike. Work from the beginner to advanced classes in design, drawing, ceramics, painting, sculpture, mixed-media, photography, and printmaking will be featured. Inclusion in the exhibition is determined by the juror based on digital images supplied by the student. At the opening reception our juror, Amy Landesberg, will announce the work worthy of special merit.
The exhibit is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday through Friday and is free and open to the public. The opening reception will be at 5 p.m. April 17.

Berry Voices Perform
Berry Choirs present an “A Capella Showcase” at 7:30 p.m. April 21 in the Ford Living Room at Berry College.
For those who enjoyed “Pitch Perfect” and “The Sing Off”, the newly formed Berry Voices will present a selection of music sung without instruments. They will be joined by local a Capella groups from area high schools. The event is free and open to the public.

Berry seniors present their art theses
Four Berry College senior art majors will present their art theses April 24-28, and May 1-5 in the Moon Gallery.
Senior thesis exhibitions serve as the capstone experience for art major students with a studio concentration. Students are able to formulate their own research agenda in the creation of a body of work for public display. These exhibitions mark the culmination of their careers in the Berry art program.
Clayton Smith and Robert Trieber will present their theses April 24-28. Smith represents the landscape with various media while Trieber works in digital design with a range of applications. Wendy Bristow and Anna Ratliff will present their theses May 1-5. Bristow designs characters and costumes for the graphic novels she authors. Ratliff creates hand built, sculptural ceramics.
The gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday through Friday and is free and open to the public.
